I LOVE to space plan! I started drafting custom home plans in my early teens. I would pour through the home magazines, taking the best of each plan to make my own designs. Little did I know I was space planning! And so began my '10,000 hours'.
While I thought I would pursue residential design after graduating college, I landed with an architecture firm and began working on site at a major pharmaceutical company. The experience of seeing firsthand the demands and challenges that facilities departments deal with on a daily basis had the biggest impact on my career. It set me on a path of being able to work independently, manage several projects concurrently and be sensitive to a client's budgetary and time-line constraints.
I take great pleasure in creating a functional space that meets the client's needs while creating an intentional experience that supports the business goals. In the end it is a team effort.
